Born and raised in Michigan. A graduate of Barnard College of Columbia University and New York University's master's program in Media, Culture, and Communication. Gabrielle (a.k.a Gabbie) is currently a PhD Student at Penn State University's Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications.
Her pivot to academia comes after her decade long career in marketing and communications in New York City. She got her start in social media marketing as a Weekend Community Manager at Complex Networks, and later interned for the VH1 social team working on reality shows like RuPaul's Drag Race. After Barnard, she joined the award-winning Digital Strategy & Events team at Paramount, formerly known as ViacomCBS (MTV, VH1, CMT & Logo), where she led social strategy for the Video Music Awards, MTV Movie & TV Awards, CMT Music Awards, and more.
Gabrielle spent four years on the PR, Creator & Social team at 160over90, the brand agency within WME Group, managing social strategy for multiple clients such as Coca-Cola, Hulu, and Marriott, before moving across the house to the Corporate Marketing & Communications team.
While working her 9-5, Gabrielle earned her Master of Arts in Media, Culture, and Communication at NYU. Attending NYU renewed her love of learning and inspired her to pursue doctoral study at Penn State.
She lives in State College, PA.
